Emergency Storm Extraction of Fallen Oak Tree
A severe windstorm uprooted a 40-foot mature oak tree, pinning heavy canopy limbs against a residential roofline. We deployed a heavy-duty crane and zero-impact rigging system to lift and dismantle the timber safely—eliminating property liability and restoring structural safety.
Project Journal
Emergency dispatch was requested following severe windstorms that uprooted a mature 40-foot live oak tree. Upon site arrival, technicians identified multiple heavy limbs resting directly on the rear roof structure, creating significant structural loading and property liability. Ground soil was heavily saturated, increasing the risk of uncontrolled shifting if timber was cut without overhead support.
Our crew established a perimeter safety zone and positioned a heavy-duty mobile crane on protective ground mats. The lead arborist attached precision rigging straps to individual weight-bearing canopy sections to isolate the load from the roof framing. Using controlled sectional cuts, each limb was lifted vertically away from the structure and safely lowered to the driveway staging area.
Following timber removal, the entire trunk was dismantled and processed through our industrial wood chipper. A comprehensive roof and perimeter inspection confirmed zero secondary impact damage, successfully securing the home and eliminating all structural hazards.
